Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been obsessed with makeup. I vividly remember stealing my mom’s bright red lipstick and trying to make the perfect red lip look without getting it all over my face. That probably was not my smartest move at the time because she was not happy when I walked out of the bathroom with her red lipstick smeared all over my face and hands...oops. Anyway, one of my favorite things about college and being an Alpha Gam has been getting ready with my roommates and friends and doing their makeup! Here are some of the products I have found and loved throughout the years… and my friends have too! :)
Moisturizer: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream
This has been my absolute favorite moisturizer!! I have fairly oily skin, and wanted to find a moisturizer that hydrates it, but does not leave my face looking super shiny! This moisturizer is perfect to go under or over makeup, and I also use it every night before bed. I have also discovered that since using it, it has made my skin clearer!
Dry Shampoo: Batiste Volumizing
I never used dry shampoo until I moved to college, but now it is a MUST! This is my favorite one to use because it does not feel or look super chalky and heavy. It also really volumizes your hair. I even use it after I blow dry my hair so it doesn't look so flat. It has become my go-to before my 8am class or a night out with the girls!
Mascara: Wet and Wild Mega Length Mascara
I actually just started using this, and I absolutely love it! I needed some new mascara, and grabbed it for $4 at Five Below! This mascara separates every eyelash perfectly and also makes them look super long without getting clumpy. I usually use 3 coats, one before I start my makeup, the second one I do after I finish my eyeshadow, and the third after I finish all of my makeup to make sure my lashes look long and separated! Definitely a must especially on a college budget.
Eyeshadow: Morphe Eye Shadow Palette
Eyeshadow is one of my favorite things to do for and with my friends! My Morphe eye shadow palette is one of my favorites to use because it blends really well, is really pigmented, and has so many colors to use! I have the Nature Glow Artistry palette, and it is perfect for subtle or bold looks.
Perfume: Amazing Grace Bergamont
I wear perfume EVERYWHERE! I always struggled to find one that stayed on all day, was not too overwhelming, and reasonably priced until I found this one. This perfume is perfect to spray on in the morning, and it stays on all day and night! My roommates even love it too! I’ve caught them sneaking in a few times to borrow :) because when they wear it they always receive compliments!!!
Lipstick: Buxum Full On Plumping Lip Polish Gloss
I never leave the house without some sort of lipstick or lip gloss on! Probably because my mom thinks it's as important as a smile. This lip gloss does not disappoint. It not only stays on for a while but also makes your lips look super full and shiny!! My go-to color is Claire for a simple everyday look, but I also love Cherry Flip and Jasmine for a bolder look! This product is one that I have found my friends and roommates to also love, enjoy, and sneak…oh, I meant borrow! I wouldn't have it any other way. Did I mention, that’s how I found some of my favorites?
